Mason Jar Gift for the Paint Lover!
My theme today is for the paint lover on your list! Hmmm… this one was easy for me, because I love to paint and know what I’d love to receive!
This is a great gift for someone crafty, as it’s almost like putting together an entire craft kit for them to enjoy!
I’ve gathered up some of my favorites that fit nicely into a large mason jar!
A – Three bottles of chalky finish paint from DecoArt
B – One bottle of chalkboard paint from DecoArt
C – Recycled plastic lids to use as mini paint trays — just wash and reuse!
D – A lint-free white rag, great to use to wipe up dust from sanding chalky finish paint — just wash and reuse!
E – A nice selection of artist brushes. I found these at Michaels!
F – Foam brushes, which you can find just about everywhere.
G – Adhesive-backed stencils. I took these stencils and cut them up to fit inside the jar.
H – Stencil brushes – also found at Michaels.
I – Washi tape is not just for crafting! Use it to mask off areas when you’re painting too!
J – Find a meaningful embellishment in the jewelry aisle. This one is perfect to wrap onto the mason jar!
I removed the inner lid of the mason jar screw-on top, so that the brushes could stick out of the top.
I used basic white ribbon to wrap around the outside of the jar, threaded through the Create metal embellishment.
Tip: When you’re loading up the mason jar, make sure everything is facing “outward” so that the contents can be seen easily no matter the angle!
I tied lots of pretty ribbons together onto the mason jar for a little decoration.
I resisted the urge to paint the mason jar – which you know I love doing – as I think the gift recipient can paint the jar any way they want to with their new supplies!
This is such a fun gift idea for anyone crafty on your list!

This is so cute!! And I never thought to use lids for mixing paints. Thanks for that fabulous tip! I love that your jar has a handle too. So handy for carrying the paintbrushes to the sink for washing.
