Make this Fall Decor for your front entrance by painting a craft pumpkin and a garden urn with outdoor paint!
This is a sponsored project for DecoArt. The project idea and tutorial are 100% my own. Special thanks – as always – to DecoArt for their support! Love them!
The key to painting anything for use outside is to use the right sealer for protection or use an outdoor paint.
Why? Because your beautiful creation will last and last and last!
Ever since I first used the Patio Paint Outdoor line of acrylics from DecoArt, I’ve been in love. I’ve tried other outdoor paints which feel thick and kind of goopy — real technical terms I’m using! — but this particular paint glides on easily, covers completely and dries quickly.
It’s my go-to paint for any outdoor projects, including one I’m working on now for Christmas, which I’ll be sharing here soon! (A sneak peek is above – I’m in love with that gorgeous Pinecone Brown shade!)
Antiqued Outdoor Pumpkin Urn
This project began with two items that you can get on sale right now! Seriously – this is the perfect time to make this project for yourself. You’ll have it for years to come!
OK – the two items: a faux craft pumpkin and a garden urn from the home improvement store.
I challenged myself to come up with something for the Fall that would use Autumn colors plus the color teal, which is one of our home decor accent colors.
I also wanted this pumpkin urn decor to look vintage rather than brand spanking new.
