I put together this beautiful Christmas tray centerpiece in about 5 minutes, which is fantastic considering I’ll be able to enjoy it not only for the holidays but also the Winter season!
We have a coastal decor tray that we keep out year-round, filled with seasonal things. However, I usually put it away for Christmas and the Winter months.
Not this year!
I purchased three decorative “picks” filled with faux greens and berries from the floral section of the craft store, and arranged them as you see here:
Cross two of the picks to make an X, then take the third one and slide it underneath the greens on the left side of the tray. Arrange the greens on this third pick to cover the X from the other stems. (The red ribbon you see was attached to the picks, but I just hid it underneath everything.)
I found these stunning ice blue mercury glass votive holders at the craft store as well, and knew they’d go perfectly with the tray.
I love that each one has a different pattern.
I stuck these in between the pine and berry picks on the tray, and it looks so pretty!
I stuck battery-powered tealights in them, and with the vintage crochet tablecloth underneath, it fits in perfectly with our breakfast room colors which feature pale blues, greens, yellow and taupe, with touches of warm white.
Our Christmas tree in our breakfast room has tea-stained pipe cleaner candy canes on it with white lights. The mason jars to the left of the tree were made with cut-up fake pine garland.
I added a few small red and gold ornament balls to some of the branches.
I love the ice blue mixed with the beautiful deep green shades.
The rope handles with the rusty hinges (above) are my favorite part of this tray!
Don’t forget to enjoy the quiet beauty of this season, in the midst of all the pre-Christmas preparations and parties and events.
It’s important to take some time for you.
That’s what I’m doing!
